About Me
I am passionate about fiction and storytelling and have been all my life. Bookgiddy isn't just my Instagram username, it's my way of being in the world.
I love stories. Stories are fundamental to being human. Everyone tells stories. Our daily conversations are filled with stories. The explosion of indie-published authors over the last 10-15 years shows just how many people want to share their stories.
But pulling a story together that connects with readers is challenging (and exciting) because it’s hard to know if what you’re feeling as you write is coming across to the reader.
That's where a book coach can make a difference.
Reading a writer's draft is thrilling work, which is why I love book coaching. Working with someone as they uncover their best writing and storytelling skills is a privilege I never take lightly.
I am an Author Accelerator certified book coach (fiction). I also hold a Creative Arts diploma from John Abbott College and a BA in journalism from Concordia University. I have participated in numerous writing workshops over the years, including a summer intensive workshop at Humber College. I've read more than 100 books on craft and creative mindset and have studied creativity coaching with Dr. Eric Maisel.
My fiction and personal essays have appeared in The Toronto Star, The Ottawa Citizen, MORE magazine online, and five anthologies. For two years, I published the e-zine WednesdayWoman.
I work with women writing literary fiction, domestic thrillers, women’s fiction, mysteries, contemporary fiction, modern historical (the 50s and forward) and 3rd Act fiction (protagonists 50+). While I work with women of all ages, I have a special affinity with women who are returning to their creativity after putting it on hold for a number of years.
